Pop BoutiqueBeautiful vintage outfits for those who can't stand to rummage

One of the icons of the UK's vintage clothing scene, Pop Boutique started life in Manchester but grew into a business in London, first at markets in Camden and Greenwich in the 80s, then as a section of Topshop's Oxford Street flagship in the early 90s.
Their permanent London shop was originally on Monmouth Street but moved a few years back to this slightly more spacious, much better organised shop on Short's Gardens.
Those who fear rummaging or feel queasy at the scent of mothballs but love a unique period piece will be soothed by their pristine, well-curated rails. They also do a good line in vintage leather bags and shoes - ethically satisfying and endlessly chic.
The prices aren't bargain-bin-low, but certainly still cheaper than picking up new versions in Urban Outfitters across the road. A few (very tidy) crates of used vinyl will distract those who aren't interested while you try on three jumpsuits, a silk shirt, a beret and several jazzy denim jackets.
