Just around the corner from Whipsnade Zoo is this pretty campsite overlooking Ivinghoe Beacon on one side and a valley vista on the other with five horizons, which creates a spectacular vision when the sun sets behind. Facilities are clean and well appointed, with a large kitchen barn offering fridges, charge points and sinks. You can walk directly across the fields and join footpaths in all directions; it takes about an hour on foot to reach the Village Swan pub in Ivinghoe Aston and nearby Pitstone is very pretty too. Firepits are allowed, dogs welcome, and there’s a tasteful adventure playground for children. If glamping’s more your thing, book a 6-metre pre-erected and furnished Bell Tent with all the trimmings.
