Every first Sunday of the month, the bunting goes up and the stately old Saint-Géry market hall becomes home to a cash-only vintage market. Frocks, hats, shoes, jeans and copious checked shirts vie with jewellery, old posters, and kitsch mid-century homeware. It takes place over three floors with additional vendors hanging their gear under the glass canopies on the street. There’s live music, food and a thriving bar to stir it all up while the other cafés on the Place also pack 'em in to add to the bonhomie. Prices aren’t always cheap considering vintage equals second-hand but then old cool is new cool, the atmosphere is great and flicking through can be just as satisfying as buying.
