Chef Antonio Murè has set up several restaurants in Los Angeles in the last decade and this cosy tribute to rustic Italian flavours is his latest. Candles and closely-set wooden tables over two floors lend an intimate atmosphere, and on warm evenings you can enjoy the terrace – in or out, it’s perfect for a dinner date. Murè may have a Michelin star but he also plays the genial and chatty host, often out among the tables, making sure guests are having a good time. Company aside, it would be hard not to enjoy dinner here as the menu puts heavenly concoctions together. From prosciutto di Parma with burrata to the signature red beet tagliolini with quail ragú, it’s all good.
