Squeezed in between an indie cinema and a Jewish-inspired deli on lively Fox Street – the main drag in trendy Maboneng – this Ethiopian restaurant is a local favourite with world-class flavours coming out of its kitchen. Each 60R platter serves two generously and involves a house-made injera (yeastless, spongy giant pancake) base piled with several meat curries and a spectrum of vegetables. It’s an artist’s palette of delicious. Every ingredient is made memorable with the perfect spicing, and they all bring something new to the table. Little Addis does serve alcohol but their speciality is Ethiopian coffee, obviously. Hopefully it will help you to digest after you’re defeated by the incredible food.
