Given its popularity in Sydney, it’s a wonder the Fishbowl formula hasn't been exported. It calls itself a sashimi bar but it’s more akin to a mix of poké, chirashi and plain old salad bar: think raw fish served over rice, with a variety of sauces, veggies and garnishes, from pickles to fried onions to avocado (you’re in Australia, there’s no escape). Service is swift, young and trendy, soundtracked by pumping tunes which make it feel a bit like a bar. We’d advise taking away if it weren’t for the clientele in this original branch who are quite the spectacle. North Bondi through and through: surf tousled, body beautiful healthy eaters.
