If you’re in the neighbourhood and a devotee to great coffee, Bonanza is definitely a place to seek out. Curve around the long drive to find the café among a cluster of traditional red-brick workshop buildings. You’ll see local residents and flexi working creatives clustering around their cups. The café is a front to the Bonanza Roastery (you can see all the machinery at the back through a glass wall). They’re purists; It’s all about the coffee, so food offerings run to a few different types of croissants and they don’t serve decaf. On warmer days, there are a good few tables outside and a row of deckchairs. Take a minute to really taste the coffee – you won’t find a smoother richer cup for a while. Fans can buy bags of beans to take away.
