Paname Brewing Company is a rare find in Paris. First, it’s a brewpub – with a long bar, industrial bones of brick and beams, and gleaming tanks producing five excellent beers, plus seasonal small-batch offers. Second, it has a massive terrace over the water. Canalside at Bassin de la Villette in the edge-of-gritty 19th arrondissement, it’s the kind of place that’s hard to leave once you’ve settled in with, say, a full-bodied Barge du Canal IPA or cheeky Brexiteer New England IPA. (They also offer cocktails and wine; this is France, after all.) You can watch the boats motor by, think about a game of pétanque later, and peruse the street-food menu for a burger or pizza. Then order another pint.
