You’d be hard-pressed in London to find a road without a bar. But among your no-messing pubs and your purse-melting members' clubs, there exists a category of drinking holes in between. And Caravan's King's Cross outpost sits firmly within that. A short walk away, in the large pedestrian square behind the station designed as part of the area's massive redevelopment, it sits overlooking modernist fountains. And while a wonderful meal can be had here (and almost always without needing to book in advance), its real delight is in its capacity for a relaxed drink. Pull up a stool at their island-style bar and enjoy the staff’s attentive, friendly service. Or, take advantage of their own-brand coffee, which just so happens to be roasted in-house. For the footsore and thirsty – here’s your resting place.
