Jutting from its side, the curved cantilevered helipad of the Bitexco Financial Tower – apparently inspired by the lotus flower – is a handy landmark for navigating your way to this bar in the sky. Take the ear-popping lift to the 52nd floor shortly before sunset (between 5.30pm and 6.20pm) to see darkness fall and the city light up, with stunning views of skyscrapers and the Saigon river, and a live band in the background. Serving a wide range of drinks and complimentary snacks (a cocktail costs around the same as entry to the Saigon Skydeck viewing platform a couple of floors down), smart staff will offer you a move to another table with a better vantage point; they know whose turn it is.
