You can’t trust these guys with naming conventions (this bar is really not that small) but you can trust them to sniff out some of the most interesting and delicious beers in the South, and indeed beyond. They generally have 20-odd kegs on offer including options from excellent local brewers Moor and well-respected craft beer names such as Cloudwater and Magic Rock. The food’s kind of trashy, but tasty, and cheesy chips are the only true pairing for beer anyway. The beer board can be overwhelming at first, but staff can help. Just watch the prices as some of the more unusual and high ABV options can be expensive – it’s more difficult to enjoy a pint that cost £12.
Small BarDrinking hole that's as welcoming to beer nerds as the casual pint-sipper
