On the western edge of Hong Kong island, this rickety pier and changing rooms several flights of stairs above it, were once used for recreational swimming by the locals. Today, the ferries tear by far too close to make swimming advisable in this area, but thanks to its old wooden design and views out over the outlying islands, it has become a popular Instagram spot. On weekends and holidays there can be a long queue for pictures on the pier itself but if you visit out of peak times you can almost have the place to yourself.
