The museum foundation Culturespaces is showing the paintings of great artists, but not as you’d expect. Over a 45-minute session, glorious images are projected onto concrete walls, floors, ceilings and columns of an enormous old foundry, creating a world of light and colour. From 22 February to 31 December 2019, Van Gogh’s most enduring images which follow the stages of the artist's life from Arles to Paris to Provence, are accompanied by the music of pianist and composer Luca Longobardi. The exhibition also explores Van Gogh's love of Japanese art. The emotional effect of this multi-sensory experience is undeniable, and children especially respond in awe, by moving and dancing around the space.
