The largest city in Western North Carolina is often nicknamed the "Land of the Sky." After spending a few days up in the 650 meter elevation, it's easy to see why. The bustling downtown scene is held within the sprawling edges of the Blue Ridge Mountains, giving the city life a more rustic vibe. The city is known for it's bustling art and performance events, as well as a progressive mindset and love for nature. Asheville is also home to a large amount of breweries and tasting rooms. From national distribution to local microbreweries, surely there will be something for everyone to taste. What once was a quaint Appalachian town is now becoming one of the hottest tourist destinations in the US.
