Follow the twisting, turning road towards the sea from Farranfore airport, and you’ll soon find yourself in Dingle, one of south-west Ireland’s most beautiful coastal gems. This charming little port town is brimming with colourful pubs, restaurants, and shops that will tempt you with local crafts and artwork. There's plenty to do for all ages, from visiting the resident dolphin in the bay to soaking up live music, and a surprisingly good aquarium, complete with penguins and a shark tank that's perfect for rainy days (which you can bet there will be plenty of). As a tourist hotspot, it can get a little cramped in the summer, so time your visit outside of the high season to experience Dingle at its best.
